The Head of Workforce and Corporate Services is a senior leadership role within HM Inspectorate of Probation, responsible for leading the Inspectorate's workforce strategy and corporate services functions.

Requirements

• Work closely with Heads of Inspection Programmes to develop the workforce model and ensure HMI Probation have sufficient skilled and trained staff to deliver and support high quality inspections
• Lead on deployment of inspection teams, ensuring staff are deployed on a fair, transparent and equitable basis
• Membership of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the Inspectorate's broader strategy, policy and operational development
• Lead on financial planning and budget management (£7.5m corporate budget), ensuring that resources are used to best effect and obtain value for money
• Provide budget and financial information to the senior management team on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with other Heads of Function and teams in the organisation, to ensure the Inspectorate's strategic objectives are met
