Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - 8 Month Contract

Kabam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) for an 8-month contract. The role involves building and maintaining complex systems and tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members. The successful candidate will have a background in computer science, 5+ years of software engineering experience, and advanced technical experience in Node.js or TypeScript.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in software engineering with back-end/server-side technologies
• Advanced technical experience in Node.js or TypeScript
• Strong database experience (any RDBMS, preferably MongoDB)
• Have worked on a RESTful API system
• Experience in working in a mixed team environment of engineers and non-engineering professionals
• Good experience working with source control
• Able to effectively communicate and translate between general ideas and technical practices
• Experience dealing with scalability and performance optimization
• Experience in Unity3D, PostgreSQL, and Redis
• Practical knowledge of the iOS and Android platforms
• Experience in professional game production
• Experience working with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
