We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Database Administrator with a deep understanding of MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager. This role focuses on optimizing, securing, and scaling our MongoDB environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Requirements
- Manage and maintain multiple database servers across various environments using Atlas and Ops Manager, ensuring consistent availability and performance.
- Design and implement redundancy and failover strategies.
- Monitor database performance, tune and identify areas for improvement.
- Configure and maintain replica sets and sharded clusters to support scalability and resilience.
- Define and implement backup strategies aligned with data retention requirements.
- Optimize queries and indexing strategies.
- Enforce best practices for data security, including user access control, data encryption and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues as needed, including 24/7 support.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and document best practices for maintenance, monitoring, migration, and failover strategies.
- Use automation tools to streamline database management processes.
