Job Description
Kaizen Gaming is looking for a Database Administrator to join their team. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing MS SQL Server environments, with a focus on availability, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Solid, hands-on experience in MS SQL Server database administration in production environments
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server database features, including Jobs Scheduling, Monitoring, Patching, Backup/Recovery, Replication, Availability Groups, and Always On configurations
- Good knowledge of memory tables and table partitioning
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks and availability issues
- Good understanding of alternative database engines like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CockroachDB, with practical experience in administration and troubleshooting
- Good knowledge of cloud database administration, with experience on platforms such as Azure
- Practical experience with Git version control / GitLab
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
- Strong teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive approach to continuous learning
