Kalepa is building AI that can perform insurance work and is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead and grow the Core Product team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• 3+ years of full-time engineering people management experience
• Experience managing managers and scaling organizations
• Proven track record of driving complex engineering initiatives and aligning technical strategy with company objectives
• Excellent recruiter of top-tier engineering talent
• Ability to make tradeoffs required to ship high-quality code in a fast-growing company
• Operational excellence through metrics-driven decision-making and robust engineering practices
• Thrives on experimentation and testing ideas, measuring results, and iterating quickly
• Deep architectural expertise and system design experience
• Experience overseeing and scaling platforms using serverless technologies and modern cloud environments
