Senior Backend Engineer - Client integrations (New York)

Kalepa is a commercial insurance company that is upending the industry with its AI Copilot platform. The company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to work on client integrations, designing and building API endpoints, and integrating with third-party services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with building external-facing APIs or designing integrations with 3rd party systems
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
• Knowledge of Python and serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2)
• Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Experience with LLMs/generative AI and distributed systems (bonus)
