Staff Backend Engineer - New Products (Europe)

Kalepa is a company that's upending the trillion-dollar commercial insurance industry with its state-of-the-art AI Copilot platform. They're looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join their New Products team in Europe to help bring new capabilities into their product. The role involves experimenting with features, validating assumptions, and turning concepts into practical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building features from the ground up
• Hustle and grit, excellent at craft and relentless in pursuing it
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
• Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments
• Knowledge of Python (main stack), and PostgreSQL
• Experience with LLMs/generative AI, distributed systems (bonus)
