Cost Estimator

Kapco Metal Stamping is seeking a Cost Estimator to join their Grafton, WI team. The role involves interpreting engineering documents, determining costs of processing products, and providing quote information for customers.

Requirements

• Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, technical manuals, and technical specifications
• Examine documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications) and verify completeness and accuracy of data
• Confers with document originators and technical experts, and or customer’s engineering liaison personnel, resolves discrepancies and implements required changes
• Serves as customer liaison and reports customer concerns
• Determines costs of processing products and provides quote information for customers
• Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for their solution
• Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the area of coating techniques, assembly processes, and material control
• Provides recommendations regarding feasibility of using alternative approaches, modifying or replacing processes to reduce costs or improve quality
• Enters data and maintains related files
• Participates on improvement teams, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
