The Master Electrician Supervisor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of electric power generation and distribution equipment at a U.S. facility in Baghdad, Iraq. This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience as a Master Electrician, or 10 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a valid Journeyman Electrician License or Certificate.
Requirements
- Lead an international team of electricians in electrical upgrades and maintenance at the BEC.

- Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.
- Generate reports with results of PM Inspections.
- Test and repair medium voltage instrumentation and controls, switchgear and protection systems as needed.
- Perform Insulation Testing, High Potential Testing and Test Transformer Ratio Values.
- Maintain and repair Automatic Transfer Switches as needed.
- New construction of power generation sites ensuring a code compliant, safe installation.
- Interpret electrical diagrams, manuals, and schematics for the site / specialized equipment.
- Diagnose, analyze, and repair faults throughout the MV system.
- Responsible for ensuring replacement parts are in stock in case of equipment failures or blown fuses.
- Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance with Statement of Work (SOW) to the Electrical Supervisor.
- Assist in diagnosing issues with switchgear PLC control and auxiliary control systems when required.
- Perform fault analysis, implement ANSI, IEEE, and IEC standards.
- Perform condition assessments for numerous transformers, electrical insulation, switches, and breaker panels to identify problems before they lead to system failure.
- Assist in developing Statements of Work when requested, to including diagrams and specifications in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Electric Code (NEC) standards.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data for report preparation.
- Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment, and spare parts for the medium voltage distribution system.
- Take initiative to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety, and electrical codes.
- Evaluate operational effectiveness and develop/maintain effective operational control mechanisms.
- Make written plans and coordinate so everyone involved is aware of changes to the system.
- Assist Low Voltage Electricians when required.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
