The Power Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing Power Generation (Spot & Emergency Power Systems), Central Power Plant and Medium Voltage Distribution Systems, Fuel Storage & Distribution Systems, Water (ROWPU) & Wastewater treatment and systems. The position is located in Baghdad, Iraq at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- At least 10 years of experience operating power generation systems and emergency power generation systems of over 20 MVV capacity
- Certifications relating to power plant and central plant operations
- Working knowledge of Maximo
- Experience managing more than one functional area in similar environments
- Experience developing and managing maintenance programs and systems
- Demonstrated working knowledge of power plant related activities for a comparable facility
- Experience working on comparable overseas USG contracts in austere remote environments
- Working knowledge of Reliable Centered Maintenance (RCM) and nondestructive testing methodology
- Knowledge of applicable U.S. Codes (NFPA, NEC, API and EPA) and accepted trade practices
- General knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to use data-driven metrics to analyze system and operational performance
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and propose actionable solutions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
- Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical and mechanical trades
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to plan, assign, direct and review the work of subordinates
- Experience in training local and foreign national employees in operations and maintenance of similar equipment
- Ability to plan, arrange, schedule, assign and inspect work of mechanical and electrical plant personnel
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages
