The Power Plant Supervisor will oversee the management of a 26 MW power station, critical power systems, and medium voltage distribution system, and manage and oversee the operations of Water Treatment Plants and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The role requires experience operating power generation systems and emergency power generation systems of over 20 MVV capacity, and certifications relating to power plant and central plant operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- At least 10 years of experience operating power generation systems and emergency power generation systems of over 20 MVV capacity
- Certifications relating to power plant and central plant operations
- Working knowledge of Maximo
- Experience managing more than one functional area in similar environments
- Experience developing and managing maintenance programs and systems
- Demonstrated working knowledge of power plant related activities for a comparable facility
- Experience working on comparable overseas USG contracts in austere remote environments
- Working knowledge of Reliable Centered Maintenance (RCM) and nondestructive testing methodology
- Knowledge of applicable U.S. Codes (NFPA, NEC, API and EPA) and accepted trade practices
- General knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to use data-driven metrics to analyze system and operational performance
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and propose actionable solutions
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply information contained in manufacturer equipment manuals; plant documents including drawings and specifications; operation and maintenance manuals; standard operating and emergency response procedures; material safety data sheets, etc.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
- Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical and mechanical trades, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of power generation and water / wastewater treatment systems and equipment
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to plan, assign, direct and review the work of subordinates and provide instruction in a manner conducive to improving performance and morale
- Experience in training local and foreign national employees in operations and maintenance of similar equipment
- Ability to plan, arrange, schedule, assign and inspect work of mechanical and electrical plant personnel
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages
