Senior Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Division. The role requires providing expert-level system engineering guidance and ensuring systems engineering processes align with best practices across commercial industry and defense acquisition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on Air Force acquisition programs or similar DoD systems.
• Center level or higher experience with authoring and/or coordinating systems engineering policies and guidance
• Experience authoring and/or reviewing acquisition documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans and Program Protection Plans
• Experience with conducting and/or participating in technical risk reviews
• Experience developing systems engineering and architecture processes to integrate mission systems into a system of systems
• Demonstrated ability to translate systems engineering policies into actionable processes for program management office teams
• Proficiency with engineering tools and technologies commonly used in Air Force and DoD acquisition programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within the DoD acquisition environment
• Ability to navigate the complexities of military contracting processes and collaborate with defense contractors
• Top Secret, SCI Eligible
