The CNC Machinist: Weekend Shift is responsible for producing parts to specifications using machine tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. The machinist will load and unload machines, change tools, set up CNC machines, perform offsets, edit G and M codes, and inspect parts. The shift differential included.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills (standard and metric)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow work instructions accurately
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well independently as well as with others
- Have attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to proficiently read and write in English
- Ability to follow all safety rules
- Ability to work independently without guidance
- Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code and ability to write basic programs
- Knowledge of machine operations
- Ability to operate crane
- Ability to read and understand a blueprint, tolerances, and drafting symbols related to machining
- Experience with Haas, Mazak and Doosan equipment is a plus
- Ability to do machining problem solving
- Ability to solve tooling issues
