Substitute Nurse

The Nurse Substitute provides essential health and safety support to the House of Representatives Childcare Center, ensuring the well-being of children in a secure and professional childcare environment. The role supports planned extended absences and short-term coverage needs, delivering medical care, emergency response, and health oversight in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse in any region within the Unites States.
• HIPAA training and understanding of confidentiality obligations.
• Prior experience in pediatric or childcare health settings preferred.
• Ability to maintain organized health records and handle emergency situations calmly.
• Be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security checks as deemed appropriate.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, pushing, and pulling throughout an 8-hour shift.
