Keller Postman seeks a Litigation Assistant to support its practice of representing a broad array of clients as plaintiffs in complex litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
Requirements
- Use software to transcribe, revise, and finalize a wide variety of legal documents accurately.
- Prepare and file time-sensitive documents with various state and federal trial and appellate courts, including through the federal ECF system.
- Provide guidance on the categorization and organization of firm and client files, including the formulation and implementation of standard naming conventions and practice-specific checklists.
- Perform a variety of file maintenance tasks for paper and electronic files in compliance with the firm’s policies.
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with non-billable fact gathering, research, data review, and data entry.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys such as maintaining contacts and tracking requirements and activity related to CLE and bar memberships.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendors and managing the vendor/platform list.
- Prepare and process outgoing mail and faxes, arranging for specialized mail or messenger services as required.
- Work collaboratively with a team on various overflow projects such as preparing for filings, hearings/trials, and depositions.
- Assist, prepare, and manage various printing requests for client matter projects.
- Coordinate with other areas/departments within the firm to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
