PCB Layout Engineer

Role Overview

Design complex PCBs with multiple high-density BGAs using Cadence Allegro. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design engineers and interface with suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.

What You Will Do

Design complex PCBs, check peer designs, and interface with suppliers. Take input from and negotiate changes with electrical and mechanical design engineers.

4+ years of experience in PCB design, advanced Cadence Allegro skills, and knowledge of design for manufacturing and design for test.

Requirements

• Advanced Cadence Allegro skills
• Experience with mixed signal high speed digital
• Experience with design rule checks (DRC), layout versus schematic checks, and library management
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT)
• Experience with DDR2/DDR4/DDR5 DRAM, 2+ Gbps serial interfaces, LVDS, split power planes, impedance control and matched trace lengths
• Familiar with fabrication and assembly processes and materials
• 4+ years of experience in PCB design
• Knowledgeable of electronics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
