As a PCB Design Engineer, you will take ownership of medium-to-complex PCB layouts, working on cutting-edge projects involving high-speed digital, high-power analog, and RF/microwave technologies.
Requirements
- Design and route medium-to-complex PCB layouts using core design tools, applying Emerson PCB design best practices, manufacturing guidelines, and engineering input.
- Lead assigned PCB designs through the New Product Development process - from constraint setup, stack-up definition, and placement/routing through design reviews, DFM/DFT checks, and release.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to incorporate requirements while exercising judgement on signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and overall performance tradeoffs.
- Acquire and apply knowledge of signal and power integrity best practices; support debugging with measurement and analyzer tools as needed.
- Become self-sufficient in major commercial PCB tools while enthusiastically evaluating and adopting new technologies, techniques, and processes.
- Accommodate occasional evening meetings for training, mentorship, collaboration, and design review, considering the global nature of Emerson’s operations.
