The Event Technician is responsible for providing technical support for local and virtual events in the event spaces, operating specific event technology, and collaborating with colleagues globally to execute desired live events.
Requirements
- Set up and operate the infrastructure, equipment, and applications provided by the customer in the designated live event and meeting rooms.
- Ensure the operational availability of the assigned event spaces through regular device checks in accordance with SOP.
- Perform L1/L2 incident management.
- Escalate to technical manager for L3 incident management as needed.
- Collaborate globally with other locations and colleagues to execute desired live events.
- Ensure that all configuration management data is entered into the customer's preferred tools.
- Act as a show caller as needed.
- Customer management - Building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Participating in incident management and problem management activities.
- Event management - Collaboration with maintenance teams to ensure event spaces are maintained at the highest standard and collaboration with facilities management to provide a professional service to customers.
- Continuous service improvement (CSI).
- Planning, organization, and coordination of technical components and services required to execute Town Hall meetings or other types of audio-visual events in accordance with customer SOP.
- Handling customer inquiries during event setup and execution.
- Participating in incident management and problem management activities.
- Collaboration with external suppliers to provide event services and equipment that are not available on site.
- Team building - Promoting and implementing team work while maintaining team morale.
- Team management - Management of directly employed, temporarily employed, and freelance staff in the execution of high-profile live events.
- Role management - Development, acceptance, and implementation of best practices within the department.
- Progress - Identification and promotion of the development of key team members.
