Senior Mechanical Engineer

Ensera Design is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The role involves delivering exceptional solutions for clients in the medical and consumer health sectors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in consultancy, industry, or at a start-up within the medical device sector
• Methodical and systematic thinker with a passion for understanding how products work and understanding the needs of the user
• Experience developing numerical or computational models (e.g., FEA, CFD, tolerance stacks) to analyse electromechanical systems
• Experience in the design of mechanical systems and products from concept through to manufacture
• Experience in medical device development (ISO13485) and risk management processes (ISO14971)
• Understanding and demonstrable experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams
• Mentoring and management of junior team members
• Excellent presentation skills including written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent client relationship management (ideally consultancy experience)
• Experience in leading projects, taking responsibility for delivery quality outputs on time and on budget
