Senior Etch Process Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Etch Process Engineer, you will work as part of the Etch Samples team to develop plasma etch processes, process customer wafers, and document work. You will work on different process module types, generate new process recipes, and support hardware testing & development. You will also provide customer technical support, write technical reports, and support other business units.

What You Will Do

Your primary responsibilities will include developing plasma etch processes, processing customer wafers, assessing results, and providing updates to the product management department. You will also communicate with customers and the global KLA customer support network, summarize results in written reports and presentations, and contribute to project teams for new products and processes.

Requirements

• PhD level in a science discipline or direct experience of plasma etch processing in a semiconductor environment
• Good analytical skills including experience of relevant metrology
• SEM skills and advantage but training will be given
• Knowledge of and ideally experience of using end point techniques
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team
• Good time management
