Role Overview

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for experienced Structures Representatives to manage and continue expanding our successful portfolio of current and future projects in Southern California. As a Structures Representative, you will manage/administer construction of bridges and structural components of transportation projects, assist in inspections, and provide direction to Assistant Structures Representatives and Inspectors.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include managing construction of bridges and structural components, assisting in inspections, providing direction to team members, utilizing 4 scale drawings, monitoring and inspecting pre-stressing operations, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing various reports.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of bridge or structural construction inspection experience and a minimum of 6 years as a Structures Representative on major public works projects. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials, as well as experience in foundations, pile driving, concrete prestressing, and bridge deck construction.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of bridge or structural construction inspection experience
• Minimum 6 years as a Structures Representative on major public works projects
• B.S. Civil Engineering or related degree
• PE in California
• Specific project experience with Caltrans, OCTA, SBCTA, TCA, and/or other southern California municipalities
• Knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials
• Knowledge of Caltrans construction practices and bridge construction materials
• Ability to work independently and direct team members
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
