
Job description
NV5 is seeking a Structure Representative to support our work across California. The Structure Representative is responsible for the technical and administrative control of the structure elements of a locally administered project. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, a California Professional Engineer (PE) License, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy civil transportation projects.
The Structure Representative will ensure compliance with construction contract requirements, perform calculations and acceptance of temporary structures, verify field dimensions, and inspect construction progress. They will also prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for review by team leaders.
This role requires a strong understanding of Cal-OSHA practices and procedures, Caltrans and Greenbook construction practices, and the physical characteristics and properties of various bridge construction materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in foundations, pile driving, and CIDH piles, concrete prestressing, and bridge deck construction.
