Electro Mechanical Technician 2 - Weekend Days. Design minor electrical circuits, troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits, and install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment.
Requirements
- Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
- Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
- Must have knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
- Must perform basic mechanical repairs
- Must be able to perform the work of the lower-class identifications
- May direct the work of others in the lower classifications
- Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures
- Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement
- Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions
- Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit
- Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments
- Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader
