Principal Investigator (Archaeologist) is responsible for scheduling and managing small to medium projects or co-managing large ones, serving as field lead for Phase I-III fieldwork, and conducting research associated with archaeological investigations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Masters Degree from an accredited school in anthropology or a closely related field
- Must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Qualification Standards for Archaeologists
- 5+ years of experience (CRM experience preferred)
- At least 3 of those years need to involve leadership positions
- Familiarity with Section 106 of the National Heritage Preservation Act and with the Antiquities Code of Texas
- Ability to obtain a Texas Antiquities Permit
- Regional (Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana) experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology
- Demonstrated skills and supervisory experience in Phase I-III fieldwork
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Experience with Federal Agencies and Tribal Nations
