Benchling is a cutting-edge cloud-based platform that empowers life sciences organizations to accelerate research and development. The company is seeking a Sr. GL Accountant to join its corporate accounting team.

Requirements

• Actively contribute to, and participate in, the record to report process
• Prepare financial statement workpapers and reconciliations
• Work within clearly defined responsibilities, processes, documentation and controls
• Take the initiative to identify variances and propose solutions
• Work closely with the financial statement workpaper reviewer
• Lead or assist on special projects as needed
• Proficient with Accounting tools such as FloQast, NetSuite, Zip, and bank portals
• Respond to, and prioritize, internal and external inquiries regarding the close process
• Experience working in a fast growth company
• Experience working in an international, multi-entity, multi-currency company
• Analytical, fast-learner, and motivated to self-educate
• Excellent attention to detail, note-taking, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet collaborative deadlines and demands
• Versatile, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and various levels of management as well as external contacts, with strong customer service orientation
• Reliability with strong work ethic, maturity and professionalism to handle confidential data
