Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Clerk to support the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana in Shreveport, LA. The role involves providing administrative and litigation support for immigration matters, with a focus on deadline tracking and case file management.
Requirements
- Review immigration filings and track temporary restraining order (TRO) and other injunctive-relief deadlines
- Update local and division-wide deadlines and documents daily, as well as docket information
- Maintain databases/files and correspondence regarding immigration litigation compliance
- Prepare documentation pertinent to new, current, and closing immigration cases
- Communicate with agency staff regarding deadlines, data gathering and entry, and case details
- Assist with full case openings for immigration cases
- Provide additional clerical and litigation-support assistance as assigned
