Heavy Equipment Technician (Field)

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field) with 5+ years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry to join our team at Komatsu Company-Owned Dealers East. As a field technician, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including construction, mining, material handling, paving, and milling equipment. You will also be responsible for operating a company vehicle and maintaining a high level of technical expertise in diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry
• Ability to travel by operating and maintaining a company vehicle
• Advanced diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment
• Ability to repair, tear down, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, etc. systems
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft products as well as industry software
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Ability to convey repair details in clear and accurate service notes
• Participation in writing customer quotes and delivery of best-in-class customer service
• Mentor less tenured mechanics in the branch operations
