Senior Software Engineer - React Native - Payments

Kraken is a mission-focused company rooted in crypto values, seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Payments & Blockchain team to focus on our payments systems. As a member of this team, your focus is on protecting client funds and building systems that communicate with various blockchains to enable the timely processing of client transactions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications
• Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React Native frameworks
• Strong experience of API design, security, and performance optimization
• Experience with Next.js and WebSockets
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling
• Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
• Experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup
• Hands-on experience in consumer payments, crypto or fintech mobile applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Available in EU afternoons
