Job Description
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and establish a safe and clean environment. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.
Requirements
- Help customers discover new items or products they inquire about
- Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items
- Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department
- Reinforce safety programs and practice preventive maintenance
- Provide support and assistance to customers and colleagues
