- Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed
- Verify new medication against existing medication and patient profile
- Verify work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns
- Support special promotions
- Engage pharmacy team to hold appropriate day supply
- Follow protocols on recalls
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Follow state and federal laws regarding annual department and personal licensing application/renewal
- Maintain established procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
- Work to prevent and report robbery, theft, or fraud
- Support preventative maintenance
- Reinforce safety programs
- Promptly report customer or employee accidents
- Adjust personal schedule to staff open shifts
- Communicate special programs
- Communicate information with department members
- Comply with company policies and union contract(s)
- Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
