Requirements
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions
- Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals
- Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer’s requests
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products
- Recommend coffee shop items to customers
- Use all equipment in coffee shop according to company guidelines
- Check product quality to ensure freshness
- Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report all safety risks, issues or illegal activity
