Engineering Technician

KTA-Tator, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned materials engineering firm seeking an Engineering Technician to perform coatings engineering-related services, including site-specific condition evaluations, coating assessments, and development of opinions of probable cost and maintenance painting strategies. The position requires 25-50% travel and will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologies
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Adequate eyesight with or without corrective lenses, including depth perception
• Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to climb ladders and ascend stairs, as high as 500+ feet
• Ability to traverse and walk on uneven terrain, while wearing PPE, and carrying measurement equipment
• Willingness to travel (25-50% of the time)
• Required to perform fieldwork outside
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Comfortable working within 'Confined Spaces' as defined by OSHA
• Capable of entering through smaller entrances, frequently limited to 24 inches in diameter
