Assembler

Kurt Workholding has set the standard for quality and reliability with machine vises and workholding technology for over 60 years. The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling machine parts according to specifications, using hands-on, detailed assembly work and following instructions and measuring tools accurately. The ideal candidate is someone who shows up every day ready to learn and take on hands-on, detailed assembly work, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and use measuring tools accurately.

Requirements

• Reads and follows blueprints, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts, partially or completely, in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand tools.
• May remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce fit between parts.
• May operate drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines or other mechanical devices to assist in assembly operation.
• May inspect and test assembly.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
