Job Description
The Machinist II is responsible for operating large lathes and grinding equipment to support repairs and maintenance at Kymera’s Thermal Spray Solutions facility. This role involves preparing materials for thermal spraying, precision grinding, and using power tools. Safety and high quality are key priorities. The position requires adaptability and willingness to take on varied tasks.
Requirements
- Operate large lathes and perform precision grinding operations in a machine shop.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions.
- Maintain calibration and quality control of workpieces.
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
