Job Description
Kymera International is seeking a Shipyard Quality Technician to perform quality control inspections, measurements, and verifications on shipboard paint, coating, and repair operations. This position is critical for ensuring product and service quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. The technician will travel to US and international locations, working aboard naval vessels and shipyards, and must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) according to specified standards.
- Interpret and apply military specifications, ISO 9001, AS9100D standards, and relevant quality standards.
- Support and maintain calibration programs.
- Document inspection results and maintain records.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components.
- Oversee compliance with coating and painting requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations.
