Job Description
Senior Data Engineer position available at Lab3, one of the largest Azure engineering practices in Australasia. The role involves managing and delivering technical solutions on Azure Data Platforms, leading planning and implementation of Azure Data services, and providing infrastructure and automation expertise. Ideal candidate should have significant design and delivery experience in Azure Data Engineering and extensive experience in Azure Data Platform, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
Requirements
- Significant design and delivery experience in Azure Data Engineering, ideally including Fabric
- Ability to understand business requirements and design effective solutions using deep Azure data engineering skills
- Expertise in Azure Data Platform, Microsoft frameworks, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, and ML
- Extensive experience in Azure Data, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehousing, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL
- Extensive experience in conventional Microsoft BI technologies such as SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
- Expertise in database concepts, Azure DevOps, and Automation
- Knowledge of broader Azure Resources, CI/CD, IaC, ETL, CosmosDB, Event Hub, and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
- Proficiency in T-SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python, Scala, Impala, R, and Power BI (desirable)
