Job Description
LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join their team in Tampa, FL. The role involves performing technical procedures, monitoring instrumentation, and reporting accurate test results. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a FL State License in Microbiology.
Requirements
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
