Lab Manager, STAT & Physician's Office Labs

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Manager to join their team in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will reside within the Central and North Alabama territory and have a strong background in laboratory operations and management.

Requirements

• Direct the daily operational activities of the STAT & POL labs
• Effectively manage the staffing of the department and monitor the production schedule
• Ensure the diagnostics laboratory provides market leading service levels
• Ensure laboratory is compliant with corporate, state and federal regulatory requirements
• Manage staff including hiring, performance management, training and development
• Conduct departmental meetings and ensure appropriate departmental communication
• Maintain technical knowledge in the assigned department(s) for the laboratory testing
