Role Overview

Join Labcorp in Spokane, WA as a Specimen Processor to ensure accurate processing of biological specimens. Work in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment with minimal supervision. Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results.

What You Will Do

Prepare biological specimens for analysis and testing, data entry, unpack and route specimens, pack and ship specimens, and handle medical and chemical waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 6 Months or more medical office or hospital high volume data entry
• 6 months or more specimen processing
• Proficient computer and typing skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time
• Strong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
