The Programming Coordinator is responsible for leading the development of programming for all ages, with an emphasis on young adults and adults. This includes creating and implementing programs, selecting books and media, and promoting collections and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college or relevant experience preferred
- Experience with program planning
- Experience working with children and/or young adults
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
- Computer Technology: Understands current computer technology and software (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc)
- Teaching and demonstrating technology programs and software to patrons of all ages
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Possesses excellent listening skills and responds calmly to stressful situations
- Able to operate with minimum supervision and work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to concentrate on and complete tasks in the presence of distractions and interruptions
- Skills in design software such as programs in the Adobe Creative Suite (preferred not required)
- Travel to conferences or events within and outside of the state of Colorado may be required
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
