Volunteer Medical Professional

Volunteer medical professionals with Lake County Public Health Agency support public health during emergencies and staffing gaps by providing supplemental clinical care, disease surveillance and prevention services, and health education.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician's Assistant (PA), or Medical Doctor (MD)
• Ability to work in high-stress, rapidly changing environments
• Public contact experience in a service-related field with the ability to remain flexible and sensitive to a clientele diverse in age, ethnicity, and maturity
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to assess situations and make prudent and appropriate decisions; ability to apply conflict resolution and problems solving skills to minimize negative personal impact
