ALS Instructor, Emergency Medical Services

Regions Hospital has an opportunity for a per diem Advanced (ALS) Instructor position. The instructor is responsible for teaching advanced level EMS courses, developing curriculum, and instructing at the basic level as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of teaching or mentoring experience
• 2 year full-time (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre-hospital, emergency or critical care settings
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Current NREMT, Minnesota or Wisconsin paramedic license, or current Minnesota or Wisconsin nurse licensure
• Ability to demonstrate core humanistic values
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Functional understanding of operating multimedia presentations
• Ability to communicate in person, in writing and by telephone
• Aptitude to establish working relationships with the public and employees
• Maintenance of professionalism and a standard of excellence
• Competency to work independently and meet deadlines
• Keen sense of organization and prioritization
• Working knowledge of pre-hospital medicine, the MN EMSRB and WI DHS requirements, the American Heart Association, and national registry standards
