The Assembler 3 role is part of the Global Operations Group and plays a vital role in electronic, electron-mechanical, and mechanical product assembly on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a lean manufacturing clean-room environment.
Requirements
- Effectively use instructions and schematics, hand tools, equipment, and fixtures to assemble and install parts/hardware for WFE.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities, including rework requirements to maintain workflow and production schedules.
- Ensure correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of components before installation.
- Contribute to audits by conducting visual inspections, verifying checklists, and performing leak checks as needed.
- Cross-train in multiple work centers (e.g., Final Assembly, Sub Assembly, Feeder Bay, Preship, NPI).
- Train other assemblers on specific job functions and role modeling continuous improvement behaviors.
- Identify and document Non-Conformance Items (NCIs), escalating to engineering as needed.
- Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures.
- Provide timely clear communication to stakeholders including production status, tasks completed, signoffs, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs.
