Job Description
The Field Service Engineer 2 role at Lam Research involves providing quality repair and preventive maintenance service of company equipment at customer sites, troubleshooting equipment problems, and collaborating with various teams to deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Responsible for providing quality repair and preventive maintenance service of company equipment at customer sites
- Perform on-site preventive maintenance and order and replace defective units, components or parts as appropriate
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions
- Determine corrective actions required and escalate for assistance and prompt resolution with the support of technically more experienced staff
- Provide on-site instruction to sub-contractors and customers
- Professionally represent the company to the customer and develop good customer relations
- Ability to work in constrictive clean room environment and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer
- Frequent business travel required
