Mechanical Engineer 2

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you'll design and define cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, supporting the full life cycle from concept to productization.

Requirements

• Support the full life cycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization
• Design components using variety of metals, ceramics, plastics, and advanced coatings
• Ensure documentation aligns with SEMI, Lam standards, and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Conduct detailed analysis including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), stress, vibrations and manufacturability to properly specify designs
• Develop and conduct feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance
• Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation to a diverse audience in design reviews
• Collaborate with internal teams to for procurement and assembly of components and equipment
