Mechanical Engineer 5

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer 5 to join our Office of the CTO. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and define cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role will involve feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You will contribute to the growth of the Aether team and work with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware designs meet overall product objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 6 years' experience; or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals including design principles, machine elements, materials, fabrication methods, and integration and testing
• Extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the use of 3D CAD tools such as ProE, NX, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and strong customer-interaction skills
• Strong skills and experience in problem solving, time and priority management and project management
• Strong attention to detail in design, documentation, and project execution
