Mechatronics Engineer 2

The Mechatronics Engineer 2 position is part of the Global Products Group, dedicated to excellence in design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. The role involves mechanical design, analysis, evaluation, and performance of Mechatronics products, working closely with firmware/controls resources and suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured to performance and cost objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
• Master's degree or 3 years industry experience required for level 2
• Strong design background coupled with solid engineering skills
• Extremely knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools such as CREO, NX, etc.
• Proven analytical skills including modeling analyses (simulations) using FEA applications such as Creo Simulation, COMSOL, etc.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
• Strong familiarity with machining practices and Sheetmetal fabrication and other manufacturing methods
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and other rapid prototyping methods
• Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
• Strong skills and experiences in problem solving, time and priority management, communication, and project management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
