Operations Embedded Business Analyst 4 is responsible for providing best-in-class analytics solutions to improve business decisions in Global Operations and other business sub-functions across Lam. The role requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Science, and BI Applications.
Requirements
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather insights and requirements
- Provide recommendations for process optimization and automation
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive alignment and decision-making
- Maintain an active backlog of analytics project requirements for the function
- Work closely with business program team and function analytics leader for prioritization of backlog
- Gather and synthesize business requirements to define future state and/or business solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation of business processes and systems
- Define epics clearly stating the user role, business requirements, business outcome and benefits
- Define quantifiable business benefits – estimates and track actual realization of benefits
- Report delivery performance metrics to the council members in council meetings
- Act as a bridge between development team and business function team
- Help resolve queries by development team promptly to ensure correct solutions are developed on time
- Work with technical team for evaluating and shaping solution proposals for business requirements
- Actively work on Sprint Planning with development team
- Create and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Represent the development team in council prioritization meetings
- Update Jira for epics and user stories
- Track sprint progress, report impediments
- Help resolve impediments by connecting with relevant stakeholders
- Hands on work on Ad hoc Data Analytics requests (one time analysis)
- Should not develop operational systems on his/her own but leverage development team for the same
- Should be able to write SQL queries on his/her own to perform Ad hoc analysis (only)
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing for the solutions developed by the development team
- Work with Information technology team for data model standardization – single source of truth
- Adhere to Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Information Security while envisioning solutions
- Educate business users on new solutions – training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
- Research industry trends and best practices to inform decision-making
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems
- Assess the current state of the organization and identify areas for improvement
- Provide strategic direction for the integration of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies
- Select and evaluate data science tools, frameworks, and platforms to build a cohesive and efficient data science ecosystem
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages cross-functional innovation
- Establish monitoring mechanisms to track model performance and address issues proactively
- Responsible for delivering quick / ad hoc proof of concepts and bringing data insights by using different complex data, and multiple data sources
- Responsible to Provide functional leadership for developing end-to-end solutions and offering hands-on guidance
- Mandatory skills: Subject Matter Expert for at least 2 functions: Manufacturing, Quality, Order Management, Inventory, Logistics, Supply Chain functions with deep knowledge and experience
