Job Description
We are looking for a Strategic Commodity Manager to join our Global Operations Group. As a Strategic Commodity Manager, you will develop and implement commodity strategies, manage industry suppliers, and navigate a highly visible and dynamic environment. You will work cross-functionally with various groups to minimize supply chain disruptions and support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge.
Requirements
- Develop and implement commodity strategy, including long-range capacity planning for 3+ years into the future.
- Take material sourcing decisions and be accountable for performance against cost, quality, and lead time goals.
- Evaluate supplier reliability and develop new supply sources where vendors or suppliers are no longer competitive.
- Forecast cost impacts, approve pricing changes, and negotiate cost reduction with suppliers.
- Interact with engineering, manufacturing, and other groups to understand cross-functional impacts of design and manufacturing strategy decisions.
