The CS Instructor - People Strategy/HR Micro-credential courses position is responsible for delivering and evaluating a course at Langara College. The instructor will develop curriculum, prepare materials, and facilitate learning. The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
Requirements
- A Master's Degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited university or license/designation in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a similar course or related subject in a post-secondary institution.
- Experience in developing course materials/curriculum
- Sound knowledge of contemporary adult education principles.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to develop and implement new strategies, policies and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and apply College, government, agency, and departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise a high level of initiative and responsibility.
- Ability to use tact and discretion to deal with or settle complex requests or complaints.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people who have limited English language proficiency.
